Faighimid stampa sa leabhar obair bhaile anois gach lá chun muidne a spreagadh chun Gaeilge a labhairt. Ciallaíonn stampa glas go bhfuilimid ag déanamh ár n-dícheall Gaeilge a labhairt , stampa oráiste go bhfuil roinnt Béarla á labhairt againn nuair atá na focail Gaeilge ar eolas againn, agus stampa dearg nach bhfuil aon iarracht ar siúl againn.
It is October already, time is flying by. We did G today, we know lots of words that start with G.
We brought home little cards today with the first ten sight words on them, these are words that we need to recognise without sounding out, we need to practice these. Each word is there twice so we can play games like pairs, snap, etc.
We will have a stamp every day in our homework book from now on, to encourage us to use our Irish in school. A green stamp means we are trying our best to speak Irish, an orange stamp means we are using some English when we know the Irish words, and a red stamp means we are not making any effort to speak Irish.
Hi Niamh, Thanks for all the info and photos. Re the little cards mentioned, will these be sent home as part of homework? Also haven’t noticed stamp in the Scrapbook, will that start this week? Thanks a mil.
Hi Patricia, the cards with the sight words should be in an envelope inside the front cover of the scrapbook and there is a sheet with the stamps on it there too. The children are already making a huge effort to speak more Gaeilge, tá mé an-sásta!
